- Account registration: name and email address, collected and managed by Clerk, our authentication provider.
- Home location: city, state, and geographic coordinates (used to calculate distance-based factors).
- Student profiles: student names added to your account.
- College list data: colleges you add to a student’s list.
- Factor preferences: weights, directional preferences, and manually entered factor values.
- Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or sensitive payment data.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
- Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and access timestamps.
- Device information: browser type, operating system.
- Session cookies required for authentication and Service functionality.
1.3 Information from Third Parties
- Authentication data from Clerk, including Google OAuth profile information.
- Payment confirmation data from Stripe.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
- Calculate college fit scores for student profiles.
- Process payments and manage subscriptions.
- Send transactional emails such as account confirmations and receipts.

3.1 Service Providers
We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the Service:
- Clerk — user authentication and identity management.
- Stripe — payment processing.
- Resend — transactional email delivery.
- Microsoft Azure — cloud infrastructure and hosting.
These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to perform services for us.
