  • Account registration: name and email address, collected and managed by Clerk, our authentication provider.
  • Home location: city, state, and geographic coordinates (used to calculate distance-based factors).
  • Student profiles: student names added to your account.
  • College list data: colleges you add to a student’s list.
  • Factor preferences: weights, directional preferences, and manually entered factor values.
  • Payment information: billing details processed by Stripe. We do not store card numbers or sensitive payment data.

1.2 Information Collected Automatically

  • Log data: IP address, browser type, pages visited, and access timestamps.
  • Device information: browser type, operating system.
  • Session cookies required for authentication and Service functionality.

1.3 Information from Third Parties

  • Authentication data from Clerk, including Google OAuth profile information.
  • Payment confirmation data from Stripe.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

  • Provide, operate, and maintain the Service.
  • Calculate college fit scores for student profiles.
  • Process payments and manage subscriptions.
  • Send transactional emails such as account confirmations and receipts.

3.1 Service Providers

We share data with third-party vendors who help us operate the Service:

  • Clerk — user authentication and identity management.
  • Stripe — payment processing.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery.
  • Microsoft Azure — cloud infrastructure and hosting.

These providers are contractually obligated to use your information only to perform services for us.

3.3 Business Transfers
